Preparation of magnesium stearate: Dissolve 15 parts of magnesium sulfate in 150 parts of water, heat to 55℃, slowly add to the prepared sodium stearate solution, and carry out a metathesis reaction with stirring. The magnesium stearate generated by the reaction precipitates out in solid form. After the reaction, the clear liquid is allowed to stand and separate, then washed with water, centrifuged, and dried at 80-85℃ to obtain the finished product.
3. 50g of sodium stearate in 2L of water was obtained by neutralizing 46.6g of stearic acid with 164ml of 1mol/L sodium hydroxide solution. The prepared sodium stearate solution was heated to 80℃, and a solution prepared by dissolving 20g of magnesium chloride in 100mL of water was added dropwise. After continuous stirring, a white precipitate quickly precipitated, cooled, filtered, washed with water until free of chloride ions, finally washed with ethanol, and 10g of the product was placed in a vacuum desiccator with concentrated sulfuric acid for 4 weeks to obtain product A [Mg(C18H35O2)2·2H2O]. The remaining product was dissolved in benzene, refluxed and heated for 20min, the upper yellow liquid layer was poured out while hot, and the solid obtained after evaporation could be recrystallized from benzene to obtain product B [Mg(C18H35O2)2]. After baking in a 105 oven for 2h, product A was also converted to anhydrous product B.
